First I drew the facial features. I then drew the body and front legs. Then I drew the tail and back legs.
My Process
I decided to draw a dog because I have two dogs that I like and I just felt like drawing a dog would be something simple to do for my first project. I want to try to make it again without looking at a picture and add shading to it. I started with making guide lines for the head and body so it would make it easier to draw. I then started on the head with the facial features. The facial features were the hardest part because it had the most details. I would say the easiest part was the legs and tail. I enjoyed making the fur on the legs because it made it look so much more realistic. After I finished drawing it out I had to erase the guide lines. When I finished erasing, the neck was too long so I had to erase the head and move it closer. The second time the head looked better than the first time so it all worked out good. Next time hopefully I'll improve on my dog and shade it in.
